Welcome to story number 1 of my Crazy Dream Anthology. I don’t know about you, but Lockdown has been doing some crazy things to my sleeping pattern and giving me some REALLY strange dreams. Is anyone else having a similar problem?
I thought it would be quite funny to document all these strange stories for a couple of minutes of strange entertainment for you, but also for me to look back on in a few years to come!
So here we go… dream number 1 of goodness knows how many to come.
Harry Potter
Now before I went to bed I must admit, I was browsing online and found out that today (the morning after the night before) is International Harry Potter Day – who knew! So that probably triggered the start of my dream.
I can’t tell you where I was because this part of my dream was very dark, or who exactly I was with, as my mind tends to fill in some people with ‘extras’ that I don’t actually know, but for some reason I was reenacting the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie. I can’t quite work out which character I was supposed to be playing as I was given Tom Riddle’s diary (which would make me Ginny) and then I was attempting to write in the diary (which would make me Harry). Professor Snape was there and so was Hagrid – played by their real life actors, Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane.

For some reason, halfway through this reenactment, I had found some chunky wool and decided to start crocheting. The other actors were still around me, but this chunky red wool was clearly too tempting for me to just leave there, so I started crocheting with my fingers, making loops and pulling through. Next thing I knew, I had created a giant crocheted blanket of some kind which was now hanging on the wall. It’s funny how in dreams, things quickly jump about, and it’s impressive how one small ball of wool managed to create a whole wall hanging!
The YouTube Prom
Anyway, that was the end of the first part of my dream. You know how in dreams, you randomly jump to a new place? Well in this next part I was at a prom with some YouTubers.

To begin with, I was with Gemma Louise Miles and her friend, who often appears in her videos, Sophie – however for some reason, in my dream, they were both called Sophie?! No idea why… don’t ask! We were dressed up nicely and at a school, however no-one ever actually went inside, we spent the whole of this so-called prom outside on the field and walking along paths. I also remember seeing other YouTubers there, like Sophie Louise and Sophie from Soph Does Life (why is everyone called Sophie? Maybe that’s why my brain was getting confused in my dream and that’s why I started calling Gemma it too!)
For some reason Gemma and Sophie (who I was mainly hanging around with – probably because I would love to be friends with them in real life, LOL) had disappeared and I was walking along a gravel pathway next to an empty green field. I got to a corner with a beautiful conservatory with nobody in it and the sun and sky above me was so perfect that I thought we could take some stunning photographs here… So I sent the a text message saying, ‘Girls, come to the conservatory’… but they never came. Sad times
Unfortunately everybody else turned up instead and this beautiful, quiet conservatory was now bustling with people, including Lucy Mecklenburgh?! In the distance I saw some kind of glider or helicopter flying overhead and it started flying low over the field next to us. We were standing outside now on the pathway and the wind was starting to pick up. The glider/helicopter was doing loops and the exhaust was chuffing out in the shape of Minecraft blocks and blowing straight into the crowd on the path. We were coughing but I couldn’t actually smell the exhaust.
I then had this horrible, dark thought, that it would be an awful accident if the glider/helicopter fell out of the sky onto us… and just as I’d thought about it, it did – although not onto us, it fell onto the field and immediately burst into Minecraft-style flames. (I’ve been playing Minecraft a lot recently, can you tell?)
We all started running back towards the school building and as we were running, I was shouting at people, asking if anyone had called 999. The annoying thing about dreams though, is that no-one was responding to me, so I thought it best to grab my phone and dial 999 myself, but for some annoying reason the numbers on my phone weren’t in the correct place and instead of dialling 999, the screen was showing things like 6#2. I kept trying and eventually realised the 9 was where the number 4 usually is, and managed to get through for help.
As we all got back to the school, people were casually saying goodbye to one another and I offered a lift to anyone that needed it, to make sure people gt home safely. Two of the ‘extras’ in my dream said yes and we walked casually to ‘my car’, which turned out to be a bright orange convertible with faceted bodywork, making it look like an ugly glitter ball. Zander from Melissa & Joey was casually mounting a motorbike behind my car, which made it awkward to get out of the parking bay!

The next thing I know, I’m with everyone on some kind of field surrounded by apartments. I’m guessing it’s the same group of people from the party and it’s as though it’s the morning after because everyone is happily chatting and having picnics on the field, however this time they’re dressed casually in loungewear. I see Sophie from Soph Does Life in a yellow tracksuit and wrapped in a long black cardigan and she looked like she was pregnant. Her bump was quite small but she kept pulling the black wrap around her tummy so it was difficult to make out.
I kept trying to think back to some of her recent videos and figured she must’ve been hiding it this whole time.
It turns out she is very heavily pregnant now and she told me she was due any day! I started to worry about the whole Coronavirus thing and the fact she would have to go to hospital to give birth – completely ignoring the fact that my dream has been full of people this whole time.
Unfortunately I don’t remember any more than that. The dream ended as quickly as it started. It’s so weird, and if you’ve actually read this whole post then I don’t quite know whether to congratulate you, or wonder how bored you must be to have read the whole of my mumbo jumbo story! Either way, thanks for making it to the end. I’ll be adding some more of my crazy dreams as and when they happen.
